There is a great need that has arisen in our world today. Everywhere, all around us, there are children and men and women who do not have the necessary food and water and resources to survive. These people may not be right in front of us, or living across the street. But they are out there. It is up to us to help them. It is up to us to save the children. These individuals are barely able to survive, and many of them actually can't even do this on their own due to natural disasters that destroy crops, government corruption, and lack of access to adequate medical care. All of these factors and more can create a world that is difficult, painful, or even impossible for children to grow up in. For many of us who live in developed nations, the starving or malnourished children of the world live a long way from home. They live entire countries and continents away from us. But they are there. They are as alive as anyone else, and as valuable as any child in any developed nation. Their parents love them just as dearly as you love your own children or as your parents love you. The difference between yourself and one of these children is simply that you have enough food to eat to stay alive. You have a diverse, nutritious diet. You have blankets and clothing, and many other things that these children do not have. This is not meant to make you feel guilty. This is simply fact. It's an objective reality about the world we live in. The fact of the matter is that no matter how comfortable and healthy you are, there are thousands, and even millions, of men, women, and children all across the globe who are hungry or sick or weak. We can make a difference in the lives of these people. Not because we are forced to or obligated to, but because we care and we have the power to make a positive change for the betterment of others in the world. The need is there. The need is great. We are looking for as many driven, caring individuals as possible to partner with us to help save the children in developing nations where food and water are scarce. What do you believe about the nature of this need? We believe that every child matters, and we believe that any child has the potential to make a difference in the world, to love and be loved. This is what drives us. This is why we believe the most important thing we can do is make sure that children all over the world have food and water and clothes. Save The Children
